The word ‘Chakra’ has its Sanskrit roots in the word ‘Chakram’, meaning spheres in the ancient and spiritually advanced religion of Hinduism. These seven chakras are thus spheres of energy or the life force of man which are located in a person’s subtle within, in a vertical line starting at the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Reiki Chakra Balance is an art of positive energy transmission by a Reiki practitioner on himself or another in order to align or balance these energy meridians. Reiki Chakra Balancing is extensively used for physical healing purposes.

Reiki Chakra balance can be said to be the art of balancing or aligning the energy flow from these energy meridians throughout one’s body. The seven chakras of Base, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third eye and Crown of the Head receive and transmit the life force energy of man and any blockage or misdirection thereof results severely in physical as well as emotional ill health.

There exists various ways in which the chakras can be balanced namely meditation, acupuncture, sound therapy, etc but the most effective is the Reiki Chakra Balancing which involves Palm healing. In other words, the Reiki practitioner acts as a conduit who transmits positive energy from the infinite source of the cosmos, through his hands to the chakra positions of an individual.

The process of Reiki Chakra balancing usually starts with the practitioner attaining a meditative state of mind and the healee lying down in a calm and relaxed way wearing loose clothing for being comfortable. Remember that more the comfort level of the healee, more open he will be and thereby more effective will be the process of energy transmission.

Common Reiki techniques involve looking/staring, blowing, touching, tapping stroking or placing the palms flatly against specific positions or diseased part of the healee’s body. Most of the hand positions are around the head and neck area but they can also be on the front or back of the torso as well as knees and feet. Many a times the process starts with the healer scrutinizing the aura or the energy field emanated from the person to identify the diseased body parts.

Various kinds of hand positions in Reiki energize and balance chakras in different levels. It can be a mere energizing on the physical level via the warmth of your hands where the healee will feel a tingling sensation in areas being focused on. Going a step further, Reiki symbols are used to energize on the mental level. There are various Reiki symbols drawn for achieving specific objectives and these can be drawn on the person’s body or mentally focused upon for the desired benefits. Localized treatments is a term that denotes placing hands on areas such as injury or requiring surgery, for varied lengths of time for intensely focused healing purposes.

Thus, it can be seen from the discussion above that Reiki Chakra Balancing involves the use of hands or palms in particular to channelize energy to those chakras where it is required so as to improve the physical and emotional condition of the healee.

Always remember that a proactive approach is always better and more effective than the reactive one. Thus, not waiting for a disease to happen, if you proactively involve yourself in Reiki Chakra Balancing then you would experience smooth energy flow and thereby attain the maximum physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Understanding Chakra

A chakra relates to and broadcasts the energy of life force; it is a point of alignment in the body. Chakra comes from the Sanskrit word that describes a constantly spinning wheel or the sphere aural energy we each have. Hindu text tells us that there are many thousands of chakra points in each of our bodies. The most vital of these chakra points are those which run along the spinal column up to the crown of the head. These are the seven chakra points.

The seven chakras involve the root, navel, stomach, the heart, throat, and brow and the crown chakras. These featured chakra points have the ability to transmit and receive energy from the general surroundings as well as those individuals in it and other influential elements of the surroundings. Chakras can influence activities of an individual that deal with emotional, spiritual, intellectual, mystical, psychological and corporeal issues.

There is a common thread that runs through the viewpoint of Chinese medicine, the explanation of modern psychology of human thought processes and consciousness, or the Hindus mystical perception of the external and internal experience of an individual. That is that the chakras are indeed distinct concerning their definitions or explanations.

Whether or not we are awake the chakras are in constant motion. This constant activity will influence the structure, appearance, physical disorders, glandular processes as well as our thoughts and deeds. However, if there is a chakra malfunction in one or more points that can be brought on by various reasons an imbalance will develop which will make itself known in other areas of our being.

Each of the seven chakras associates with a specific endocrine gland of our body. Imbalance to the proper functioning of a chakra it will impact the emotional and physical processes of the body. Eventually, it will expose itself as a disorder of some type in the normal patterns of activity and or behavior in the associated endocrine gland.

Maintaining the Balance of Chakra Using the above as our point of beginning, we can assume safely that the majority of our ailments and illnesses are related to our chakras. Even though there may not be enough materialization of imbalance or illness, there may yet be concerns or emotions that come from our childhood that influence us spiritually, emotionally and physically.

Generally speaking, the repressed or elapsed emotional balance that comes from experiences of past trauma is one of the main causes of imbalance of the chakras. The cellular level of the body is influenced by the emotional toxins that are habitually buried inside the subconscious of anyone. This is the reason that we should deal with our emotional baggage as this will aid us in maintaining a good balance of the chakras which in turn influence the healing process of our physical being.

Healing the Body Chakras Activities such as Reiki, color therapy, aromatherapy provides balance by using the healing properties of crystals, gemstones and pendulums.

The physical and breathing exercises that are performed in yoga is beneficial in maintaining the balance of the charkas of the body, many individuals enjoy attending yoga exercise classes.

There is a wide variety of chakra healing methods, such as using CDs and audio guided visualization tapes to inspire techniques of relaxation and natural healing or focusing on an object, thought or awareness for a particular amount of time. These help by reducing stress and channeling relaxation and mind power.

Chakras work unaided to maintain our body although we cannot touch or see our chakras.

The body needs nutrition in order for there to be balance of the chakras and the pleasure of good health. There are particular foods that aid in maintaining the balance of each of the seven chakras.

The root chakra is nourished with foods rich in protein, spices and root type vegetables. Nuts, vanilla, cinnamon, sweet fruits and seeds such as caraway and sesame nourishes the sacral chakra that of our sexual being and creativity. Breads, cereals, pasta, yogurt, dairy products and spicy mints nourish our stomach or solar plexus chakra which enhances our sense of self love and self confidence.

Green leafy vegetables and green tea will nourish the heart chakra. The throat chakra benefits from the nourishment of consuming a lot of water and fruit juices as well as tangy fruits such as peaches and apples.

The brow or third eye chakra which enhances our sharpness of third eye sight and an in-depth sense of our own psychical gifts is nourished by consuming grapes, blueberries, grape juice and wine.

The crown chakra, which is our spiritual and emotional center will benefit from being detoxified. This is achieved by fasting and the ritual inhalation of various herbs and incense.

We can influence our health when we influence or stimulate our chakras. Doing so inspires us to be more responsive in our lives as we become completely in tune with our general surrounding as well as all the other elements of the physical and metaphysical environment we live in.

Chakras are the focal points of the body where life force energy is generated. Chakra means wheel; and it refers to the spinning sphere of life energy that term represents.

There are six Chakras which are located along the spine and a seventh one above these, removed from the physical element of your body.

While we understand these Chakras as energy, you need to understand that these seven Chakras influence your body.

A proper alignment of the seven Chakras helps you to maintain your body in physical, mental and spiritual health; this is why it is important to know more about each Chakra and how it affects you.

Muladhara

The Muladhara is the Chakra of your lower body. This is also known as the root or base Chakra. This Chakra relates to your survival and other instincts. Muladhara has to do with the potentiality of human life. This Chakra is located in the perineal region, near the base of the spine.

This is the Chakra believed to be influential on the adrenal glands, producing the fight or flight response and other primal behaviors.

Swadhisthana

The Swadhisthana is the reproductive Chakra and corresponds to the genitals. Also known as the sacral Chakra, this is the Chakra which controls your sexuality and the creative impulse.

This Chakra also governs the production of sex hormones and plays a role in producing mood swings. This Chakra is symbolized by a six petal lotus.

Manipura

The Manipura is the navel. It is considered to be the solar plexus chakra. This chakra deals with the transitions that are found between base emotions and complex emotions. The chakra itself is in charge of base emotions and complex emotions, and dictates the way that they flow into each other. It deals with the flow of energy, the flow of digestion, and can be compared to the way that the pancreas functions in the body.

This Chakra is responsible for energy flow and digestion – it governs the conversion of food into energy. This Chakra is symbolized by a ten petal lotus.

Anahata

The Anahata is the heart. This Chakra is responsible for love and other complex emotions, as well as your sense of equilibrium and well being overall. This Chakra corresponds to the thymus gland (located in the chest) and the immune system in the physical body.

This symbol of this Chakra is a twelve petal lotus

Vishuddha

The Vishudda is the throat. This Chakra is responsible for your faculties of communication. This Chakra corresponds to the thyroid gland in the physical body. This Chakra is symbolized by a sixteen petal lotus.

The growth is a form of expression, so the Vishudda is in charge of expressions. Communication is a very important part of your every day life, and therefore this chakra is in charge of it.

Ajna

The Anja is the eyebrow or the forehead. It is also considered to be the third eye. This chakra is in charge of being a model of its own envisioning. This is the chakra of time, light, and of awareness.

It is symbolized by a two petal lotus, and is in charge of regulating sleep and awakening. These are very important functions within the body, and therefore this chakra is very important.

Sahasrara

Symbolized by a one thousand petal lotus, the Sahasrara is the seventh and final chakra. It is the chakra of consciousness. It communicates with the rest of the body in the same manner that the pituitary gland does. The Sahsrara is connected to all of the body systems, and is the key player in consciousness.

According to the ancient Vedic thought, there are seven circles (Chakras) of energy referred to as energy wheels in the human body. These are present along the meridian of the body.

Certain mystical practitioners even believe the number of these wheels to be fourteen.

These begin at the base of the spine/genitals (root chakra) and extend right up to the top of the head (crown chakra).

In between are the orange colored chakra situated in the stomach area, the yellow colored chakra known as the solar plexus just above this, the green colored chakra in the heart region, the blue colored throat chakra, the indigo colored chakra in the center of the forehead known as the third eye. The root chakra is colored red with the crown chakra thought of as being violet in color.

As well as each chakra being associated with a particular color, they are numbered from one to seven with the base chakra being number one and the crown chakra being number seven.

The first chakra controls our physical health and vitality and our sexual health.

Chakra two rules a person’s creative powers.

Chakra three is responsible for our will power and desires.

The fourth chakra is responsible for our emotions and helps us to both give and receive love.

The fifth chakra is responsible for communicating and is the link between what we feel and what we think.

The sixth chakra commands intuition and psychic powers and insights, (hence the sixth sense).

The final chakra, number seven located at the crown of the head is what is responsible for our astral voyages.

When people focus on the energy of this seventh crown chakra they really are communicating with God.

The chakras spin in their natural state. If they are healthy then they will spin and will then provide you with the optimum energies you need. If however they become unbalanced they can not spin and you will therefore experience illness or sickness in one or more of the areas outlined.

No chakra should be more developed than the others, either. If this happens then addictions, neuroses, obsessive-compulsive disorders, or unintentional cruelty will result.

There is constant worry that these chakras will become blocked. For instance, some people who possess a negative attitude towards sexual relations or have a poor diet will experience ill health or broken romantic relations primarily because they have disturbed the base red chakra.

If you constantly think about dark things like working black magic against people, you’ll clog up the seventh, purple-white, crown chakra and cut off your access to the cosmic or the divine, leaving you feeling bitter, fearful, and empty.

A freely spinning energy wheel will be characteristically flexible. The human mind has the power to receive good vibes and ward off bad and negative ones. It is just like a hand, which can open and close when required but if broken, it will not function. Similarly a healthy chakra will open and close as per the vibes it encounters.

Chakra therapy means basically that you focus your attention and concentration on each of the seven main chakras in turn. This should really be done on a daily basis.

When you meditate, you will be able to pinpoint the chakra that requires cleansing. Thereafter just concentrate on making that energy category strong so that the energies are restored to their healthiest best.

Some people find that meditating on a gem stone the same color as the chakra wheel allows them to get a clear image in their mind of what actions they need to take to make it healthier.

Recently it has become possible to just listen to the individual chakra sound frequencies. By listening to the particular frequency of each chakra your own chakras resonates at this frequency and become completely balanced.

There are many funny bumper stickers out there, one I saw recently read “These aren’t love handles, they are a fuel tank for a sex machine.” You’ve probably heard plenty of funny ways to describe your love handles. You can use humor to justify your overweight condition. Many people are mortified and embarrassed about their love handles. Having that flab hanging over the top of your jeans can be unnerving and I’m sure you don’t like it either. Most people dislike their love handles regardless of the cute names like “muffin top” they will try to hide it when possible. It’s your choice, you are not forced to carry these love handles around for the rest of your life. You can see from the following tips just how easy it is to get in shape and get rid of those love handles.

Many people acknowledge the fact that exercise is key to losing those love handles. What you want to accomplish can’t be done with just any exercise. Your focus should be on aerobic exercise. This type of exercise gets your blood pumping and increases your heart rate. With this type of exercise your body burns more of your stored fat because of the amount of energy that is required. A good habit to get into is exercising aerobically a minimum of three times per week for at least 30 minutes. Gradually increase that to 5 times per week for maximum fat burning.

Many trainers will recommend adding in a weight training session to substitute for other forms of exercise. You won’t benefit from weight training as much as you will from aerobic exercise but it is beneficial in other ways. You may find that your other exercise routines become easier to do because of the muscle mass your are gaining with the weight training. You will benefit from the increased metabolism in the rate at which your body burns fat.

Don’t believe those idiots who try to sell you a product that claims to target your love handles for quick results. You should know they are all lies. It is a fact that no singular exercise can solely reduce love handles. One exercise might help you build muscle behind your love handles but do little to get rid of them. You will see them turn more prominent and perky. You are trying to lose them right? So why would you want to see this problem happen?

Your muffin top can be an embarrassment to you. Choose to get rid of them, cause thankfully you are not stuck with them. There are a lot of ways to get rid of the extra weight called love handles. Maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine is the best way to get rid of body fat. Be smart and don’t get sucked into false advertisements promising you a miracle cure. Working had and being patient are the best ways to drop excess weight. At some point you will return to the body you have always wanted to have.
